Don't Cut Carbs! Burn them!

Cutting carbs seems to be all the rage nowadays. Years ago, there was massive carb diets, now it's the exact opposite. Diet fads seem to be going in an out of fashion every other week.

The perfect diet for you is one based on science and fact, NOT a trend. The science of being in shape is not about cutting your carbohydrate intake, but rather to burn all the carbs you consume.

Carbs are a simple sugars used by your body to convert into energy. You need energy to do everything. Walking, running, standing up, and even playing chess! The Atkin's diet is one of the most ridiculous ways I've ever heard of to lose weight. In fact, there's another word for the Atkin's diet; it's called STARVATION!

Yup! That's right! Not eating carbs means you are starving yourself. And yes, starving works great as a weightloss method if you don't mind destroying your health. The effects of not consuming enough carbs will make you slow, tired, weak, and in terrible performance. In fact, you may look skinnier but you certainly wouldn't look healthier. The really sad part of not consuming carbs for some people, is that it even makes them GAIN WEIGHT. Why? It's because their body goes into survival mode because of the lack of carbs and it triggers the body to slow down the metabolic rate. Slow metabolism makes your body more efficient by using much less energy, therefore you can still gain weight. Worst of all, you'll feel like crap and kick youself in the butt even harder. What more? Some people take it too far and even starve themselves even further. The unfortunate people end up dying. The lucky ones give up their dreams of weight loss.

Enough with the grim realities of carb-cutting. The plan is to burn your carbs. Don't stop eating them. Eat carbs. Massive carbs. Give your body tons of extra energy and speed up that metabolism. Getting in shape means working out. Start burning those carbs. Tons of cardio. High intensity workouts. Interval workouts. Switch exercises constantly to maximize your carb-burning efficiency. Work out everyday. Exercises that require constant explosive movement. Basketball, boxing, kickboxing, tennis would be great. Running in alternating intervals of sprints and jogs is also perfect.

The bottom line is: Don't cut carb intake, burn them off. You'll be in better shape, better health, you'll feel better, and you'll perform better. Looks aren't everything. start burning carbs now and good luck!

I AGREE 100%. You don't see world class athletes falling for this shit. And in the Olympics, the day before an event, the pasta, bread, and rice are always the first types of food that are almost depleted in stock. Food that happens to be high in carb, which gives you what you need to burn through your performance. Coincidence? I think not.
