Wladimir Klitschko (46-3, 41 KOs)  VS  Calvin Brock (29-0, 22 KOs)

What's going to happen when the best American heavyweight champion Calvin Brock takes on the Ukrainian giant, Wladimir Klitschko tonight?

Both of these heavyweights hold a piece of the alphabet titles currently circulating the world, and mostly Europe this past year. I'm picking Klitschko on this one. He's a sound boxer with big size and power to match. He's got fluid movement in his legs, punches, and boxing skills. He's an excellent boxer with excellent power. His only problems in the past were tiring out too early but I think Manny Steward's already put in a cork in that leak.

Calvin Brock has had wins over faded contenders. He's proven that he can stand with the best and carries a pop despite his under-average size as a heavyweight. Brock has good skills but does he has enough to overcome the Ukrainian tower of might?

Well lets see, Klitschko's got longer arms and a great jab. He is taller and carries knockout power in both fists. He's got great legs and good movement. He's excellent at playing the keep-away game by moving swiftly away from his opponent and keeping them at bay with his long jab. His chin may be weak but more importantly, a shaky confidence, and you've got to be a HARD hitter consistently to take advantage of that. Brock doesn't hit hard enough and doesn't quite have the speed to get past Klitschko's long jab. I don't think his boxing skill is better than Klitschko's and he isn't going to win the fight. Brock has also shown in the past that he can be knocked down, he might just be knocked down and out but I'm going to bank on the fact that he's trained well for the fight.

I say the fight is an easy decision for Klitschko or a knockout win in the late rounds.
