Here are my easy picks for tonight: Manny Pacquiao and Michael Katsidis.
Manny Pacquiao VS Juan Manuel Marquez 2
---------------------------------------------------------------

Why is this fight such an easy pick for me?

Age - Pacquiao has gotten 4 years better and matured durign the 4 years. Marquez has only aged, slowed, and perhaps gone stale. +2 Pacquiao

Barrera as a common opponent - Marquez had a hard fought points win over Barrera in which he suffered a knockdown while Pacquiao easily won a lopsided points win over the same Marco Antonio Barrera. Does this mean that Pacquiao will easily beat Marquez? Not necessarily. The stakes were different for all 3 fighters involved. Against Pacquiao, Barrera was fighting to prove that Pacquiao can't knock him down. Barrera in a sense, wasn't fighting to win, he was fighting to protect his "tough" reputation and prove that Pacquiao cannot beat him so easily. Against Marquez, Barrera was willing to have a fun fight and open up BECAUSE MARQUEZ is not as dangerous as Pacquiao! From Pacquiao's eyes, he knocked out Barrera the first time because that was the biggest fight of his life - enough said. When Pacquiao fought Marquez, it certainly did not carry the same level of importance. He was riding a high of being a world champion. From Marquez's eyes, he fought Pacquiao knowing all full well that Pacquiao was dangerous. Against Barrera, Marquez took on Barrera knowing where his weaknesses lie.

MY POINT IS .... Their hunger and motives for fighting had changed rapidly so even though they fought the same common opponent (Barrera), they still fought a different fighter. It might mean something, but not much. For those of you think the Barrera comparison is a clearcut advantage for Pacquiao, think again. Barrera was easily fending off Pacquiao for 12 rounds but couldn't keep Marquez away. Think about it! - EVEN

Speed - It was Pacquiao then, it will be Pacquiao even more so now. +2 Pacquiao

Marquez's Counter-punching - OH YEA, bigtime. Pacquiao can't be leaning in too much and backing up without using a proper guard. +1 Marquez

Marquez's Heart - Yes yes yes. Marquez got up from 3 knockdowns last time to save a draw. He won't let Pacquiao run him over this time for sure. You can forget about Pacquiao's chance of a knockout win. +1 Marquez

Pacquiao's "Habits" in between fights - Yup, it's well known that Pacquiao is careless about his health in between fights. The partying, the out-of-focus lifestyle. He's hitting 30 now. Don't be so surprised if he's aged a bit. +1 Marquez

Power - Pacquiao takes this easily. Not just physical power but psychological power. Both fighters know who the harder hitter is.. +1 Pacquiao

Pacquiao's right hand - I don't believe in this crap. This fight will be made on top boxing skill. The only thing the right hand will do is serve Pacquiao's confidence, it won't mean anything. I think Pacquiao's controlled pace did more to his opponents than the right hand ever will. He was always a hard hitter and he always will be. - EVEN

Pacquiao's willingness to trade punches - This is VERY VERY VERY dangerous for Marquez.. He's a great counter-puncher but at this point in time, he's also very vulnerable to getting counter-punched. Pacquiao isn't the type of fighter who's willing to wait for you to finish your punches before he returns fire. Watch the videos, many of Marquez's previous opponents all waited for him to finish his combinations. Pacquiao will be interrupting and foiling Marquez's combos at every chance. +2 Pacquiao.

My pick? Pacquiao in 8 rounds to 4 in a 4 point decision win. Marquez will win points from the judges for being effective and being resilient. At all other times, Pacquiao simply throws more, lands more, and moves more. I can see Pacquiao losing a few rounds in the jabbing contest before letting his left hand loose. His recklessness should win the fight as long as he keeps his hands up.

Michael Katsidis VS Joel Casamayor
---------------------------------------------------
In case you didn't see the fight with Casamayor and Santa Cruz, I thought Cruz was robbed. Cruz should have won the decision easily but for whatever reason, the judges might have given it to Casamayor since his boxing "appeared" to be more skillful and intact than the slugging heavy-footed Cruz.

In this fight with Katsidis, Casamayor will be facing a younger, stronger, bigger, and more explosive puncher who throws straight and will be winning over the judge's points for sure. This fight is the end for Casamayor.
