The big question has always been about why staying in shape has become so hard all of the sudden? Staying in shape today is so hard for a number of reasons.
The motivation has changed. Not everyone cares about staying in shape for the same reasons anymore. Back when you were younger, everyone was in shape because they had a more active lifestyle and they loved it. As you get older, your careers and other relationships get in the way and staying in shape takes a backseat. The motivation of getting back in shape just to look better isn't enough for many people. Your body has changed. Face it - you don't have the metabolism like you use to anymore. Some people are blessed with good genetics and can stay thin no matter how much they eat. Others will struggle to keep their weight down for the rest of their lives. Your lifestyle has changed. Most people's number one excuse to not being in shape is that they don't have time. This may be true but isn't it important to prioritize your health into your lifestyle? Today's society is more driven by instant-results than ever and many people just can't follow any pattern that doesn't bring immediate gratification. Staying in shape will only benefit many over the long run and doesn't give people satisfaction soon enough to consider it important in their daily lives. A good question to ask is, "Do you think people would be smoking today if smoking led to immediate lung cancer?" What can you do about it? For starters, bring back the motivation and positive energy. Staying in shape not only allows you to be more confident in your appearance, but actually boosts your energy and productivity throughout the day. People who are in better shape generally enjoy life more and live longer in life - it's a scientific fact.
